Description
The night before last was the largest moon of the year when the moon is closest to the earth and appears huge. It was a clear night and yes I got up in the middle of the night to get this picture of the moon when I knew it would be straight up over the woods. This photo came out to show me more than I bargained for with the look of a nest kind of feeling around the moon! I enjoy night shooting very much when there is something to photograph. This is unretouched in any way.

Thanks Dawn, It is rather amazing, I think the brightness of the moon just made the edges glow and the center fade out the leaves. Magical!

Magical! Yes, before I even read your description, I thought, "The moon is nesting in the tree!" Beautifully done! v/f
