Description
This is done in hard pastel. When I sat within the colonade of this Cloister you could almost hear the angels sing. It is a place where prayer and contemplation can take place and you can actually hear the voice of God if you listen. These are the places that are so rare and hard to find anymore. Unless perhaps you walk in the woods. There are many cloisters in Europe. This particular one is from France. Ironically and amazingly this was brought, piece by piece over (a long time ago) to the Bahamas and resides on Paradise Island. An amazing architecture of opposites on this Island, when one considers the gardens and spirituality of the Cloisters and the more wild and crazy life of the great Atlantis not too far away. One for fun, one to detach and come back to reality... this original is not for sale because it hangs in my home and always brings me back to that place of comtemplation and peace. I have visited many Cathedrals and they all have an effect on your spirit however the open air of the Cloisters to the sky and the nature is truly like heaven on earth. I hope you enjoy this get away...
