Artist's Description
This is a Red Admiral Butterfly on Bleeding Hearts in my garden. These are flooding the northeast by the millions right now in an unusual wave of nature. They come from Texas where they were catapillars and have ridden the warm currents of the unusually warm weather. They have made the newspaper headlines as it is such a strange phenomemnon. They are everywhere! Difficult to photograph as they are very active however I managed to get this beauty as he dined!
About Judy Via-Wolff
I have a great love for nature and all God's creation. In any artworks or photos I create, I try to reflect a moment of fleeting beauty as all things are but for an instant. I love to paint and use pastels. I paint in oils, acylics, and water colors depending on the piece. I also pursue the medieval technique of egg tempera painting.I also have begun digital painting which I create from scratch with a stylus. Photography also provides an instant in time. Judy has a BFA and a Masters Degree From RIT"S School for American Craftsman and Fine art. She spent many years as a glass artist and was able to reflect the light and colors of God's creation through this medium. She won many awards over the years and enjoyed creating new works...
