Artist's Description
This is a painting inspired by my photo of this Gulf of Mexico Beach (that I recently posted here on FAA). This is technique I have been developing for about a year and a half which involves many layers of glazes resulting in the luminescent layering of colors you see here. This is the beach on Sanibel Island and is always an inspiration to me and a favorite place. Original painting is 18 x 24 on canvas. This can be found in my Landscapes and Seascapes Gallery here on FAA and at judy-viawolff.artistwebsites.com This image and all images in my galleries are copyright protected and are available in Prints of many sizes, Pillows, and Phone cases. Thank you for visiting and I hope some of my images have inspired or evoked in you a feeling of peacefulness, joy or pleasure.
About Judy Via-Wolff
I have a great love for nature and all God's creation. In any artworks or photos I create, I try to reflect a moment of fleeting beauty as all things are but for an instant. I love to paint and use pastels. I paint in oils, acylics, and water colors depending on the piece. I also pursue the medieval technique of egg tempera painting.I also have begun digital painting which I create from scratch with a stylus. Photography also provides an instant in time. Judy has a BFA and a Masters Degree From RIT"S School for American Craftsman and Fine art. She spent many years as a glass artist and was able to reflect the light and colors of God's creation through this medium. She won many awards over the years and enjoyed creating new works...
