Artist's Description
The canyon is deep however high on the edges and in places between rocks, life finds a way to grow and reach to the sun. this is the first in this series. I am fasinated by nature living and growing in places where it is mostly rock and no dirt. It becomes an analogy of how sometimes in life we are on the "edge" and despite the circumstances we continue to thrive as best we can by reaching for the light. Light can be looked at symbolically as well, The Light of the Holy Spirit as well as Light of the Sun.
About Judy Via-Wolff
I have a great love for nature and all God's creation. In any artworks or photos I create, I try to reflect a moment of fleeting beauty as all things are but for an instant. I love to paint and use pastels. I paint in oils, acylics, and water colors depending on the piece. I also pursue the medieval technique of egg tempera painting.I also have begun digital painting which I create from scratch with a stylus. Photography also provides an instant in time. Judy has a BFA and a Masters Degree From RIT"S School for American Craftsman and Fine art. She spent many years as a glass artist and was able to reflect the light and colors of God's creation through this medium. She won many awards over the years and enjoyed creating new works...
