Sometimes the sky and the water seem to blend together at the horizon line... On the boat at sunset you make your way down the Genesee River through the long piers and finally out into the misty Lake at Sunset, where you become one with the earth, sea and sky...
This is painted on 300 press, Strathmore coldpress, watercolor paper.
About Judy Via-Wolff
I have a great love for nature and all God's creation. In any artworks or photos I create, I try to reflect a moment of fleeting beauty as all things are but for an instant. I love to paint and use pastels. I paint in oils, acylics, and water colors depending on the piece. I also pursue the medieval technique of egg tempera painting.I also have begun digital painting which I create from scratch with a stylus. Photography also provides an instant in time. Judy has a BFA and a Masters Degree From RIT"S School for American Craftsman and Fine art. She spent many years as a glass artist and was able to reflect the light and colors of God's creation through this medium. She won many awards over the years and enjoyed creating new works...

I love all of your works but for some reason, the APPARENT simplicity of this caught my eye and I capitalized apparent for a reason. The soft paintwork blooms in its watery medium. It recalls Lake Ontario for me (2009, family visit, south side) but with the added drama of this perspective creating an inlet effect in the background. Wonderful! F/V
