Description
I have had an addiction to picking up rocks wherever I go for many years. I "see" things in them. I often look for Rocks where I can paint Christ or praying monks. I give these away to people. This one was sits on my window sill. I brought in some flowers to put in a vase and this beautiful image came to me. The bleeding heart is indicative of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and he is crowned with Lillie of the Valley here.

Lenore, I am really enjoying the way you and Lianne pick up on the nature components and the spiritual and the artistic etc. That is why I love my friends on FAA, sometimes others see in our work things even beyond our own interpretation. When I set this image up, I was hoping others could see what I see. thanks!

I have been looking at this one for a while. It's the unexpected in it.... I love the juxtaposition of the hard and soft natural elements and the plaintive expression on the face. I love to pick up rocks, also, by the way. v/

wonderful work Judy, I pivk up rocks too,but I've never thought to paint on them, this is just beautiful.
Judy Via-Wolff replied:
Thanks Sharon, We hike a lot and my husband gives me the " don't you have enough rocks look"! I always seem to grab what I can carry if I see potential in it. Rocks are simply pieces of the earth!
