My goal on this photo outing was a blue heron. I was thrilled with so many other gorgeous large birds but alas no heron. As the day got long and we got tired, at the last minute...This beautiful blue heron landed very near to our canoe and just posed regally. The color is seems almost iridescent and most people tell me the bird is a more gray color, however this one was true blue as was another like it I saw in the distance. Hope you enjoy the amber eye and the combo of blue and yellow in his beak. I will post more of him as the legs are yellow and blue striped and quite fascinating. Aaaaaahhhh, nature, God's paradise.

I have a great love for nature and all God's creation. In any artworks or photos I create, I try to reflect a moment of fleeting beauty as all things are but for an instant. I love to paint and use pastels. I paint in oils, acylics, and water colors depending on the piece. I also pursue the medieval technique of egg tempera painting.I also have begun digital painting which I create from scratch with a stylus. Photography also provides an instant in time. Judy has a BFA and a Masters Degree From RIT"S School for American Craftsman and Fine art. She spent many years as a glass artist and was able to reflect the light and colors of God's creation through this medium. She won many awards over the years and enjoyed creating new works...
