Description
Every year I model a self portrait as a way to show students how to do their own self portrait. I usually don't ever finish these however I found time to finish this one. Last year's is in my "Portrait" gallery. this one is more painterly in brushstrokes in comparison and is only done with two colors, white and brown. the previous one is multi colors and painted in more strategic color block fashion. You may look in the portrait gallery to compare the two. The high school kids do marvelous paintings and I get to see how "old" I am looking each year! lol!

Thanks Tyler, appreciate however I wish I could retire, started too late and now have to keep on a few more years. Would like to teach adults in a cont. ed program rather than students who often don't have the appreciation of art at all. Much more interested in their cell phone messages.

Your so kind Carla, I actually don't like it much but I never do like to do self portraits however it helps motivate the kids, I usually do a portrait of another teacher or someone!
