Description
I had the privledge this year to discover a website in my hometown where we could watch live streaming 24 hours a day of the birth of 3 baby falcons and their subsequent upbringing and first flights. They live on top of a tall downtown building in Rochester NY and a camera was placed by their nest. It was truly fascinating. This gorgeous bird has unfortunately been injured. He lives in a sanctuary for endangered birds of prey. He is quite a ham when he sees you and allows you to photograph him. He lives amongst multiple species of eagles, hawks, owls, ravens and other large birds. I feel his pain of captivity in this picture.

Thanks so much Tessa, So nice that they are being cared for and on a personal level it gives us a chance to photograph them but would give it up to see them fly away in a minute!

Stunning macro Judy! We have an Eagle in captivity at the Houston Zoo who has also been injured. So sad l/f

Judy, this close up of this falcon is so beautiful and expressive. The colors are super. I read the description and can understand that he would feel emotional pain by being in captivity. However, at least he is in good hands. I love birds and other animals (well, most of them). LF
