Description
I don't how to title these except for maybe "landscapes of my soul" perhaps. Again this is the result of demonstratng for my students. Some will watch the demonstration and do amazing work. Others really don't care and that is difficult when you are a teacher with great passion for your subject. That however sadly is the attitude of so many young people today. Not all though, We have to get up everyday for the few who make it all worthwhile because they will be the ones to make our future worthwhile. I think I will dedicate this one to teachers everywhere who try so hard to make a difference in the lives of young people. May this image bring you to a peaceful place and inspire you to keep going...

The way you have painted this landscape, the solitude, the light, the vast openness, the texture of paint ... i just totally love it, i feel it close to my heart. I feel the Spirit in this painting.

Judy, I used to be a teacher and now I am a librarian in a secondary international school - I think you call it a high school in the US ? I know exactly what you mean about many kids not appreciating what a dedicated teacher has to offer. That's their immaturity, and good teachers have to live with the fruits of their efforts wasted 70 per cent of the time or more. People don't realise this when theymoan about teachers. They don't realise how soul destroying it can .ge a lot of the time and still you have to be creative to be good. Teachers who don't care do best, they survive that process, it's all just in a day's work to them! It's a hard profession for a sensitive send creative person.

Oh to be sitting under that palm tree - beautiful work Judy. About your description, I remember those feelings well from my teaching days. V/F
Judy Via-Wolff replied:
Thanks Bob, I hope to move one day to those palms of my imagination. Yes teaching can make one weary and make one so satisfied...Confusing...
