Entry to the Valley of Secret Ruins Painting

Judy Via-Wolff
Medium
Painting - Oil On Board
Description
This is an oil painting that I have worked on for many weeks. The inspiration is spiritual and also a combination of places I have been and would like to go. I call it the Entry to theValley of Ancient Ruins, because I think that until you are ready to venture through the valley of life and enter a dark cave ( in order to come back out into the light) you will never find the light. The life is in the Light of the Holy Spirit, the entry through the arch symbolizes a path that many have taken before you therefore it is in ruins but still beckoning. The dark cave is the difficulties in life we must endure including sacrifice. We will come out into the valley again into the light refined like gold and ready to venture on to higher ground and the temple of the Holy Spirit.
I may sell the original, I have not decided yet. Please let me know if you may be interested.

Beautiful, Judy, and your description is similar to the one I wrote for "The Gate"...I can only speak for myself but the only time I am truly rid of the dark parts of life is when I am in the zone.....v

Fantastic work of art Judy. It is true in darkness one finds the light. I thing you would really enjoy seeing my painting titled Hope. For it is this light out of darkness you speak of. F/V
